Today I edited a newborn photo that I took recently. This picture was pretty good straight out of camera, so only a few tweaks were necessary. All the actions used in this edit were from the Creative Pack 1 actions set.
I first started with the patch tool around the baby’s skin and removed most of the visible blemishes. Simply circle the blemishes with the patch tool, and drag to a new area that is a sample of good skin that you want to do the match. Photoshop works it’s magic and evens out the skin and removes the blemish.
Next, I ran the Quick Light & Quick Dark action to lighten the baby’s face a touch with a 20% opacity large soft brush. Then I ran the Perfect Skin action around most of the skin and finished off the edit with the Clarify and Pop it actions. The result of the before and after is subtle difference, but a big difference to my eyes. Do you like this edit? I’d love to see your comments below.
